50th Anniversary of the Korean War <br /> <br />Commemoration <br /> <br />**Item <br /> <br />The freedoms and liberties enjoyed by the citizens of this <br />great Republic were won and have been protected by the men <br />and women who became the veterans of the many wars in <br />which this nation has been engaged, and <br /> <br />Without the guarantors of our freedoms, our veterans, the way <br />of life that we have enjoyed for over 200 years could not be <br />sustained, and <br /> <br />The citizens of this fair state are extremely proud of those men <br />and women who have suffered hardships and made sacrifices <br />in the defense of the United States of America, now <br /> <br />I Governor/Mayor of the <br />state/city of , do hereby call <br />upon all my fellow citizens to take full advantage ot~ the <br />special events tO recognize the "50th Anniversary of the <br />Korean War," in honor of the men and women who served <br />during the Korean War. Further, I urge all individuals, <br />schools, churches, organizations, business establishments <br />and homes within my official jurisdiction to proudly display <br />the U.S. Flag and participate in programs in honor of all the <br />Korean War veterans and veterans of all the wars in which the <br />U.S. has been a part, which are to be co-sponsored by the <br />Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary and others <br />during the commemoration period. <br /> <br />(Governor/Mayor) <br />(Date) <br /> <br /> <br />
