The red brick building has tWO <br />store unitS divided by a brick pier. The storefronts have been modernized and clad in <br />permastone, and the transom filled with glass block. The simple brick parapet with a <br />corbel course is intact. <br /> <br />Sioonificance <br /> <br />649 Main Street is typical of Elk River's smaller commercial buildings built between ca. <br />1904 and 1912.
