The estimated cost to pave <br />the remaining portion of trail is $300,000. <br />The Ciry of Elk River has secured $160,000 in federal transportation funding under Safe, Accountable, <br />Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for User (SAFETEA-LU). This federal money is <br />scheduled for 2011. <br />Through this grant, the City is asking for an additional $70,000 in state funding from the Regional Trail <br />Grant Program.
