Case File: OA 07-05 <br />Page 2 <br />Ordinance Amendment <br />City of Elk River <br />periods: from 1988 (1988-1990) to the present (2000-2005), and from the present to 2020 or <br />ultimate development, whichever occurs first. The following are the levels to be obtained with <br />development: <br />• Reducing the amount of phosphorus by 60% for new developments and 40% for <br />redevelopment that do not currently meet 60%. <br />• Volume control measures to determine infiltration rates prior to approval of plans <br />• 60% removal of Total Suspended Solids <br />• Both ordinances refer to the City's Engineering Design Guidelines for other design criteria <br />Staff held a public meeting for builders, developers, excavators, and small utility contractors on <br />Wednesday, February 28, 2007 as well as several staff meetings to review the proposed ordinance. <br />The attendees were asked to provide comments and the city did not receive any. <br />Attachments <br />• Storm Water Ordinance & Excavation, Grading and Erosion Control Ordinance <br />Action Requested <br />Staff is recommending approval of the proposed ordinances. <br />Planning Commission Action Motion by Second by Vote <br />Follow Up <br />C:\Documents and Settings\dhuebner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OA 07-05_PC.doc <br />
