Narrative in support of Conditional Use Permit Application -City of Elk <br />1Ziver, iVLN <br />Date: May 25, 2007 <br />TO: Mr. Jeremy Barnhart, City Planner <br />Dear Mr. Barnhart: <br />Attached is a Conditional Use Permit Application to allow our business, <br />Sndp Fitness to open and operate in the Landmark Plaza which is owned and <br />managed by the Briggs Companies. The proposed address of the new space <br />for our business is 190~~ Freeport Street N~,1/lk liver, MN ~~~3t7. <br />We propose to open and operate a Snap Fitness franchise at this location. <br />Snap p'itness is a sectiuity card accessed faci}ity available to it's n~en~bers ~24 <br />hours per day. Snap Fitness is a Chanhassen, Minnesota based corporation <br />with ~t?l~+ units currently in operation . <br />We propose to have approximately 4-6 part time employees. <br />We will need one standard size sign at the front door that is consistent with <br />the established and approved sign theme for Snap Fitti~ss and the building, <br />together with one strip sign for the larger entrance monument at the front of <br />the building indicating Snap Fitness as one ofthe tenants. <br />There are currently 50 existing parking spaces. Our parking requirements <br />vary throughout the day: W~ have no group classes - o€~r members come in at <br />a time convenient for them. <br />The Briggs Companies assures us that all building materials and construction <br />technic}ues i}ce:d in cc~ns~ction and custom~na the interior space within .the <br />Landmark Plaza will comply with existing city codes and regulations. <br />We have no need for outside storage facilities. <br />The reason for this application is that we have been informed by the Briggs <br />Companies that the City of Ells River has infor_n_~ed then,. that oi.~r appli~atinn <br />
