~/ <br />Elk <br />River <br />REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />To Item Number <br />Ci Council 3.4. <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent December 3, 2007 effre Beahen, Chief of Police <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Downtown Parking Lori ohnson, Ci Administrator <br />^ Ordinance Amending Section 74-97, 74-99, and 74-102 Reviewed by <br />of the Elk River City Code <br />^ Resolution Approving Changes to the Downtown <br />Parking Limits for On-Street Parking <br />Action Requested <br />Council motion to adopt the following: <br />^ Ordinance amending Section 74-97, 74-99, and 74-102 of the Elk River City Code <br />^ Resolution approving changes to the downtown parking limits for on-street parking <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Council approved the attached ordinance and resolution changes at the November 5, 2007 meeting. <br />This item is on the Consent agenda in order to formalize the changes and have the ordinance published <br />and codified in the correct format for the City Code. <br />A resolution is also needed amending the parking hours downtown. Elk River Code Section 74.96, "No <br />Parking, Stopping, or Standing Zones" requires a resolution in order to change the hours for on-street <br />parking. <br />Financial Impact. <br />There will be costs to publish the ordinance as required by law in the official city newspaper. <br />Attachments <br />Ordinance Amending Section 74-97, 74-99, and 74-102 of the Elk River City Code <br />Resolution Approving Changes to the Downtown Parking Limits for On-Street Parking. <br />Action Motion by Second by Vote <br />Follow Up <br />S:\Council\Police\2007\Downtown Parking.doc <br />
