This information generated discussion among members of the Board in regard to the <br />message being sent to local units of government with respect to funding which basically <br />indicates the state can no longer provide its share of contributions for transportation <br />improvements. <br />The next item discussed was the idea of a "transportation summit" that would bring <br />together the various coalitions in the north metro area. The goal would be to collectively <br />develop recommended policy changes that can be introduced as initiatives in the 2008 <br />legislative session that will assist local governments in funding and implementing needed <br />transportation projects. ,~t, <br />Various dates for the event were discussed in addition to so f the event details to <br />consider.
