Hadicker stated the applicant is requesting a zone change and a conditional use permit <br />to construct a telecommunications tower. He stated the tower would be located on city <br />property and host the 800 :MHz radio equipment. He stated the tower would be able to hold <br />one additional camero <br /> <br />Chair Anderson opened the public hearing for both the zone change and the conditional use <br />permit. <br /> <br />There being no one to speak to these issues, Chair Anderson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COMMISSIONER WESTGAARD AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER LEMKE TO RECOMMEND THE CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVE CASE NO. ZC 05-06 BASED ON THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS: <br /> <br />1. THE PROPOSED REZONING IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE <br />SURROUNDING LAND USES. <br /> <br />2. THE PROPOSED REZONING IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO <br />PROVIDE EFFECTIVE WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION <br />COVERAGE FOR THE CITY. <br /> <br />3. THE REZONING IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY. <br /> <br />MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COMMISSIONER WESTGAARD AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER LEMKE TO RECOMMEND CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL <br />OF CASE NO.
