<br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> <br />The City of Elk River is proposing to locate a 12' by 44' portable office trailer in front of <br />the Public W or1es garage at 19000 Elk Lake Road to provide temporary office space for <br />the Street Superintendent and Assistant Street Superintendent. <br /> <br />Normal office hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The office <br />will be open 24 hours per day during snow events and emergency responses. <br /> <br />The portable.office contains two offices and will be occupied by two individuals with an <br />occasional meeting of not more than 12 persons. The parking consists of24 regular <br />parking stalls and one handicap stall. There will be no additional persons added to the <br />Street or Park Department s1:a.fI: so there is no need for additional parking stalls. <br /> <br />Since the office trailer is temporary until the building expansion, there is no screening <br />proposed. The portable office has vertical grooved wood siding on the exterior and the <br />skirting will be of like materials. There are no changes proposed for exterior signage on <br />this site. In addition, there is no exterior storage involving this portable office trailer. <br /> <br />The site for the trailer location involves an area of 24' by 65'. A low retaining wall was <br />removed and will be replaced. In addition, 3 small trees and 6 bushes were also removed. <br />The site was leveled to accommodate the trailer. There was minimal site impact. <br /> <br />This interim use permit is for a period of 3 years. <br />
