It was cut out of the project as a cost saving measure. At the August 2007
Library Board meeting, the board voted to recommend including the screened porch. The porch addition
would cost approximately $75,000. This price includes design and structural engineering fees. The term
screen porch is somewhat misleading as this space would be a high quality, architecturally designed
structure that would incorporate building materials similar to the new library.

Jennifer Anderson Tuttle, of KKE Architects, will attend the meeting to discuss the concept.

Financial Impact
Approximately $75,000.
The library project stated with a contingency of $125,000 which has not been spent.

Attachments

· Memo from Mick Stoffers, Branch Librarian

Action

Motion by _

Second by _

Vote

Follow Up

C: \Documents and Settings \jmiller \Local Settings \ Temporary Internet Files \ OLK3E\Porch Addition.doc
