This position had reported to the Street Superintendent and is
now reporting to the Public Works Director and is a division manager. Under the Fair Labor Standards
Act (FLSA), this position is exempt from overtime. lnqreased responsibility and decision making places
this position in pay grade 9.

The Personnel Committee recommends placing Building Maintenance Supervisor Gary Lore at step B+
$2,035.00 of pay grade 9. This is consistent with the placement of the Park Maintenance Supervisor
which is a comparable position and which recently mOV1ed from pay grade 7 to pay grade 9 as well.

Financial Impact
The Building Maintenance Supervisor position has been eligible for and receiving overtime. Under the
FLSA, this position will no longer be paid overtime which will cover the wage increase. There should be
no fmancial impact.

Attachments
None

Action

Motion by _

Second by _

Vote

Follow Up
