<br />r I -'\) <br />( l1 <br />f .ity of ~ <br />Ell{ <br /> <br />ITEM 5. 16 . <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Mayor & City Council { , <br />Lori Johnson, Finance Director I.~ <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />December 19, 1994 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 1995 Pay Resolution <br /> <br />At the December 12, 1994, City Council meeting, the City Council adopted <br />Resolution 94-126, a Resolution Adopting the 1995 Pay Plan for Non- <br />organized employees. There are several items which should be incorporated <br />into the pay resolution, therefore a resolution amending the previous <br />resolution and updated exhibits are attached for your review. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />There are four changes in the pay resolution. The first is the addition of a <br />pay range for the Electro-mechanical Technician which the WWTS <br />Superintendent is requesting approval to hire. The pay range for this <br />position is from $17.75 to $20.75. The next change is the addition of an item <br />relating to early call out pay for the Street Department. The snow plow <br />operators receive an additional one hour of straight time pay for each hour <br />that they are called out to plow snow prior to 6:00 a.m. This additional pay <br />was approved by the City Council in 1993, however, it was never <br />incorporated into the pay resolution. The next item is a change of status for <br />the Assistant Liquor Store Manger. The position was previously classified as <br />exempt and is now being reclassified as non-exempt. This position typically <br />puts in very little, if any, overtime. <br /> <br />The final item relates to the additional $.17 per hour to compensate for the <br />lost uniform allowance for the administration employees as previously <br />discussed. If this item is approved by the City Council, it will be incorporated <br />into the pay resolution to be adopted on Monday. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />The City Council is asked to approve the amended 1995 pay resolution as <br />presented. <br /> <br />council:payres <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway.
