<br />waste will be disposed of at the Resource Recovery Facility. They are proposing to offer organics <br />recycling at City Hall free of charge as well as offering document destruction services on an as needed <br />basis, free of charge. The City currendy pays Shred-It approximately $1,500 per year for document <br />destruction. The organics recycling is a new initiative but has been implemented in several metro <br />communities. The idea is to do a pilot project at City Hall and determine whether or not to expand it to a <br />residential neighborhood and then continue expanding it in the community. Organic waste makes up <br />approximately 30% of the waste stream. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />. $26,623.86 per contract term (July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2010) <br />.
