General <br /> <br />According to the County biological survey map, Mr. Plaisted's property <br />contains no unique natural plant communities or rare species. <br />Further, no important farm lands have been identified by the SCS <br />office on this property. Lastly, no wetlands are apparently found on <br />this site, however, this will have to be field verified by City staff in the <br />wooded area adjacent to Highway 169. <br /> <br />2. Other State and Federal Permits Reauired <br /> <br />a. Water Appropriation Permit, by the DNR. <br /> <br />A Water Appropriation Permit has already been issued for this <br />operation. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Hazardous Waste Generators ID by MPCA <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Plaisted's operation includes a shop and the appropriate <br />Hazardous Waste Generators J.D. has been issued. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Air Emissions Permit by MPCA <br /> <br />Mr. Plaisted made an application to MPCA for an air emissions <br />permit, and apparently one is not required for this operation. <br /> <br />d. Storm Water Permit (NPDES) by MPCA <br /> <br />Mr. Plaisted has made the appropriate application. <br /> <br />e. Registration of Fuel Tanks with MPCA <br /> <br />Registration of Mr. Plaisted's fuel tanks is not required, <br />however, he has added secondary containment or diking around <br />all of his fuel tanks on site. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Surrounding Zoning <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Map number 1, included with this memo, shows the ZOnIng of the <br />properties adjacent to Mr. Plaisted's site.
