It is suggested that the City not go on private
property to assist landowners with clean up efforts. However, the City
program is proposed to include hauling away all tree branches and brush
that are placed on the boulevard. The City will then load up this material,
haul it away, and burn it at its City garage location. It is proposed that we
start this program as soon as approved by the Council and that we publicize
this in the Star News. The timetable should be about two weeks so that we
are not picking up brush throughout the fall season. Also, it should be noted
that we are not proposing to be picking up bags of leaves or things of that
nature, but only tree limbs and items of that type that were brought down by
the storm.

.

P.O.
