<br />Board of Appeal and Equalization Minutes <br />Ap,il 18, 2007 <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS TO SET THE 2007 ASSESSMENT AT 30 <br />PERCENT OVER THE 2006 ASSESSMENT, MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />2. Brent Richter, Parcel Identification Number 75-679- 0208 <br />Tom Lucas, Parcel Identification Number 75-679-0210 <br /> <br />Mr. Richter stated he believed the land value of these two parcels is assessed too high <br />because they are adjacent to a commercial area and don't own the river frontage. <br /> <br />Appraiser Olson stated the value for these two parcels was compared against two home sales <br />in the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gumphrey noted that the land values for Mississippi Ridge have gone down <br />over the last few years and the assessment for Mr. Richter is at its 2003 rate. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY TO HAVE NO CHANGE IN VALUATION <br />FOR BOTH OF THESE PARCELS. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Linda Schultz and Greg Anderson, Parcel Identification Number 75-549-0120 <br /> <br />Ms. Anderson stated she purchased her property three years ago for $400,000 with the <br />intention of subdividing it. She stated she has since learned that she can't split the property <br />due to a developer's agreement. She further explained that extensive remodeling was done to <br />the house. She stated she tried to get green acres classification on her property but learned <br />she couldn't because it is platted. <br /> <br />Appraiser Olson stated the property is valued at $526,100 due to the remodel of the house. <br />He stated it is valued as single family residential and not as developable property. He noted it <br />is near the gun range. He further noted that a nearby parcel sold for $580,000. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER TO TAKE NO ACTION. MOTION CARRIED <br />4-0. <br /> <br />4. Dave Aust, Parcel Identification Number 75-135-3306 <br /> <br />Mr. Aust stated he felt his property was assessed too high. <br /> <br />Appraiser Quinn stated she could visit Mr. Aust's property to complete an inspection. <br /> <br />Mr. Aust was fine with having the appraiser out to his home. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN TO TAKE NO ACTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5. Appraiser Greg Olson presented a handout and reviewed a list of three <br />parcels to the Board of Equalization consisting of 75-128-4101, 75-773-0110, <br />and 75-506-0230. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br />
