ACH, CITY PLANNERo~ <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />AUGUST 29, 1994 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR THE CITY COUNCIL TO <br />AUTHORIZE THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />OF BID FOR STREET LIGHT <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT ELK PARK <br />CENTER <br /> <br />ISSUE <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Kraus-Anderson has asked staff if the street lights installed along Freeport <br />Avenue could be assessed along with the other public improvements being <br />done to serve Elk Park Center. Lori Johnson indicated that funds are <br />available from the bond proceeds to finance these improvements and allow <br />them to be assessed as public improvements. <br /> <br />Authorizing the advertisement of bids would allow the plans and <br />specifications to be prepared and a bid awarded towards the later part of <br />September. This schedule would still allow these street lights and <br />improvements to be installed this fall, in time for the opening of Freeport <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />It is recommended the City Council authorize the advertisement for bid for <br />street light improvements along Freeport Avenue. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />epclight.council <br />P.O.
