There was a good deal of discussion regarding
the different designs, the possibility of the park being returned to a building
site, and the future of a riverwalk behind the business district. Rob
VanValkenberg suggested that the heating/cooling water from the Cinema
building artesian well be utilized for some type of flowing fountain or
waterfall within the project.

The business group voted unanimously to support Proposal C, with the large
patio area at street level and the grass amphitheater, and a future
. consideration for a concrete amphitheater if usage demands it.

At this time, I have not received the cost estimates from the structural
engineer for foundation support for the Cinema building, but I will bring the
entire cost estimate to the City Council as soon as I receive the engineer's
information.

.

P.O.
