<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 94 - <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE JOINT <br />CITY OF ELK RlVER/MnDOT CORRIDOR STUDY <br />OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 AND 169 WITHIN THE <br />CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there have been numerous developments adjacent to TH 10/169 within the City of <br />Elk River which have requested access from the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River and the Minnesota Department of Transportation have <br />concerns about both the movement of traffic on the trunk highway system and <br />movement of local traffic across the trunk highway system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are no current planning documents from either agency which clearly spell out <br />a method to facilitate the location of appropriate access points to accomplish the <br />goals of both the City of Elk River and MnDOT; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The City of Elk River wholeheartedly supports the proposed joint City of Elk <br />River/MnDOT Corridor Study for TH 10 and 169 within the corporate boundaries. <br /> <br />2. The City agrees to participate with MnDOT in the study by the contribution of City staff <br />time to accomplish the report. It is understood that the contribution of each agency will <br />be approximately 50% of the effort needed to accomplish the outline for the Corridor <br />Study. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 25th day of July, 1994. <br /> <br />Henry A.
