Extension of a Conditional Use Pe~it for a Convenience Sto=e/Gas <br />Station bv Ken Beaudrv/P.H. Case No. CU-91-02 <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf indicated that Ken Beaud~y received a conditional use <br />permit two yea=s ago to build a convenience s~ore and gas station on <br />the northeas~ corner of the inte=section of Proctor Avenue and "Highway <br />10. He s~ated ~hat ~~. Beauc:y is =eques~ing an ex~ension at tha~ <br />conditional use permit as he has received financing and is ready to <br />build. Steve Rohlf indicated that the Planning Co~~ission reviewed the <br />=equest and" reco~~ended ap?=oval of the extension. <br /> <br />Steve Rohl~ indicated that the Planning Commission did not review the <br />possibility 0: the extension of Oxford Avenue to P=oc~o= Avenue. He <br />requested that the Council cons~aer this possi~ility. The Co~ncil <br />reviewed th:ee maps presented by sta:= which explained diffe~ent <br />versions of the extension of Ox~ord Avenue. Steve Rohlf indicated that <br />City staff recommends that the road not be ex~ended. <br /> <br />Ter~y M2ure~, City Enginee=, indicated that the City's Comprehensive <br />T=ans?o=~ation Plan indicates tha~ Proc~o= Avenue ~ill be a majo~ <br />traffic connector and stated he has concerns with the =igh~-in 0=; of <br />Proc't.or Avenue ~ He suggest-Ed that the access "off of ?:-oc'tor be .. as fa::- <br />to the north as possible. <br /> <br />Ha~y Ebe=ley, Planning Cornrnis;ion Representative, indicated that "the <br />Planning Commission had traffic conce=~s re9~=ding this parcel ~n 1990, <br />and, at tha~ time, discussed combining all the parcels in that area <br />into one parcel. <br /> <br />Ken Beauc=y i~cicated that he would not have ti~e to <br />process of combining parcels as tL~i~g is critical with <br /> <br />through the <br /> <br />go <br />his <br /> <br />~' , <br />J...LnanC.Lng. <br /> <br />Discussion was held by ~he Cou~cil regarding a turn lane off of Ei~hway <br />10 onto 6t.h St=ee-=- (befo::-e ?=octo:: Avenue) and who wo\.:.ld be . rcspo:1sible <br />for the payment of this t~~n lane improvement project. <br />
