He <br />noted that the applicant is proposing to locate a prototype injection <br />mold making business within this building. The building is located in an <br />A-l zone and this type of opera~ion is not a permi~ted or conditional use <br />in" ~his zone. Mr. Bjork indica~ed that the amor~iza~ion period for ~his <br />building is ten years which expires September 4. 1990. He further stated <br />that the Ci~y Code has four differen~ amortization schedules which are as <br />follows: . 40 years for ordinary ~ood construction. 50 years for ~ood and <br />masonry; 60 yea~s for fireproof; and 10 yea~s for any other buildings <br />not indicated. Mr. Reinherz felt that the bu~lding could be classified <br />as fireproof, therefore giving ~he building a 60 year amortiza~ion <br />period.
