<br /> <br />City of Elk River <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date <br />Administration A ril 2, 2007 <br />Item Description <br />Consider Resolution Designating Maximum Household Income <br />Level for Deferral of S ecial Assessments for 2007 <br /> <br />Item Number <br /> <br />Prepared by <br />Lori Stich, Accountant <br />Reviewed by <br />Lori Johnson, City Administrator <br /> <br />Introduction <br />Chapter 62, Section 1 of the Elk River City Code addresses the deferral of special assessments. <br />Citizens may defer special assessments if they are 65 years of age or older or retired by virtue of <br />permanent and total disability. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />In order to be eligible for the deferral, the applicant must meet the household income levels as <br />established by resolution annually by the City Council. <br /> <br />Attached is a resolution setting the maximum household income levels for 2007.
