Capacity and ability of existing entities to expand <br /> <br />Sherburne County HRA <br />No legal limitations to expanding the HRA to include EDA powers. <br /> <br />Sherburne County Economic Development Alliance/Sherburne <br />County Board <br />8CEDA is limited to advisory capacity to the County Board. <br /> <br />The County Board focus on economic development would be more clearly <br />emphasized with the use of the EDA and the EDA structure can ensure the <br />accountability of the County Commissioners to the voters. <br /> <br />Becker EDA <br />The Becker EDA expects to continue to focus on commercial and industrial <br />development in the City of Becker. <br /> <br />Bia Lake EDA <br />The Big Lake EDA expects to continue to focus on commercial and industrial <br />development in Big Lake and in areas immediately adjacent to the City. <br /> <br />Elk River EDA <br /> <br />The Elk River EDA expects to continue to focus on economic development <br />issues in the City of Elk River. The EDA is limited by resources and currently <br />levies to the maximum. <br /> <br />Elk River HRA <br /> <br />The Elk River HRA expects to focus on redevelopment issues in Elk River and <br />will continue to monitor housing issues. The HRA is limited by resources and <br />currently levies to the maximum level. <br /> <br />Princeton EDA <br /> <br />The Princeton EDA expects to continue to focus on commercial and industrial <br />development in Princeton. <br /> <br />St. Cloud HRA <br /> <br />The 81. Cloud HRA manages housing programs in other counties at the request <br />of HUD, due to the lack of active HRAs in some adjacent counties.
