<br />RESOLUTION 07-_ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br />PARTICIPATION IN THE BROOKINGS-TWIN CITIES <br />HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission (ERMU) has <br />determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Elk River (City) to <br />utilize the resources and services of the Central Minnesota Municipal <br />Power Agency (CMMP A) to participate in the development and <br />investment in the acquisition, construction, ownership, and operation of <br />high voltage transmission of electrical energy and capacity, negotiation of <br />contracts, planning, including transmission needs studies, transmission <br />arrangements, engineering, and technical assistance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the ERMU has requested that the City Council of the City of Elk River <br />approve ERMU's participation in the Brookings-Twin Cities High <br />Voltage Transmission Line project. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the City does hereby approve the <br />ERMU's participation in the Brookings-Twin Cities High Voltage <br />Transmission Line project. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 20th day of February, 2007. <br /> <br />Stephanie Klinzing, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />
