Discuss Board & Commission Process for Filling Vacancies

Ms. Allard discussed an option for interviewing for board/commission vacancies that would
make the process more comfortable for applicants.

Councilmember Farber stated he liked the idea of having the interviews at a worksession so
they are not on cable. He stated he has no issue voting for applicants at the same meeting.

Councilmember Motin stated the vote should be on the same night so applicants won't
campaign for the positions. He stated board/commission members will be on TV and in the
public eye so he sees no reason why they need to be removed from cable.
