CU 94-18 <br /> <br />REQUEST <br /> <br />A conditional use permit to construct two 24' x 36' (864 square feet) <br />classrooms to Vandenburg Junior High. <br /> <br />LOCATION <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />948 Proctor Avenue, Elk River, MN <br /> <br />ZONING I LAND USE <br /> <br />R1c (Single Family Residential) I MR (Medium Density Residential) <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Report to Planning Commission dated May 24, 1994, Revised Site Plan, <br />Building Elevations <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Independent School District #728 is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />construct two temporary classroom additions to Vandenburg Junior High. <br />The school is in dire need for additional classroom space for the 1994-95 <br />school year. The classrooms are a temporary solution until permanent <br />facilities can be constructed. Each classroom will be required to meet State <br />building and fire codes. The School District is currently working with the <br />Building Official to meet the building code issues. The location of the <br />classrooms will be on the north side of the school and are indicated on the <br />attached site plan.
