TEMPORARY ROUTE CHANGE FOR RDF TRUCKS FROM NSP TO
UPA

UP A will be redoing UP A Drive and the front access to their campus
sometime this summer. The work will include digging up the tar on
UPA Drive and re-milling it. This road will be impassable for about a
14 working day period.

e

The normal route to transfer RDF from the NSP plant to UPA is:
Highway 10 to Main Street to UP A Drive. During construction staff
has okayed these trucks to use Highway 10 to Main Street to Gates
Avenue to Railroad Drive (north of the tracks past the Sewer
Treatment Plant).

UP A has indicated that they will notify the adjacent property owners
along this temporary detour. A maximum of three trucks per hour will
use this road.

2. FRIDAY EVENING TRUCK TRAFFIC FROM NSP

It is my understanding that the Council is concerned with truck traffic
to the NSP Plant on Friday evenings. On March 15, 1993, NSP
requested and was granted the additional hours of 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
on Friday evenings during May 1st through October 1st to receive
waste. These additional hours on Friday evenings were again
eliminated when NSP renewed their conditional use permit in January
of 1994. Therefore, the current status is that NSP cannot receive
waste from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Fridays, May 1st through October
1st.

.

P.O.
