<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Drainage course means a watercourse or indenture for the drainage of surface water. <br />Dry cleaning means the process of removing dirt, grease, paint, spots, stains or any other <br />form of foreign matter from wearing apparel and/or household furnishings by any means <br />other than washing with soap or detergent and water. <br />Dry cleaning establishment means an establishment for the mechanical dry cleaning of <br />garments, articles or goods of fabric for retail customers. <br />Dry cleaning pick-up station means establishments where customers drop-off and pick up <br />garments or articles that are sent to another location for dry cleaning. Such establishments <br />are consistent with general retail uses. <br />Duplex means, for the R-3 town home district, a two-family dwelling; each unit may be <br />for rent or owner-occupied. <br />Duplex, triplex, and quad mean a dwelling structure on a single lot having two, three, <br />and four units respectively, being attached by common walls and with each unit being <br />equipped with separate sleeping, cooking, eating, living, and sanitation facilities. <br />Dwelling means a building which is designed or used exclusively for human habitation <br />either permanently or transiently. <br />Dwelling, multiple-family, means a detached building containing three or more dwelling <br />units, with the number of families in residence not exceeding the number of dwelling <br />units provided. Condominiums and cooperatively owned multiple residential dwellings <br />are multiple-family dwellings for purposes of article VI of this chapter. <br />Dwelling, single-family, as used in article VI of this chapter, means a detached building <br />containing one dwelling unit designed for occupancy by one family. <br />Dwelling site means a designated location for residential use by one or more persons <br />using temporary or movable shelter, including camping and recreational vehicle sites. <br />Dwelling, two-family, means a detached building containing two dwelling units designed <br />for occupancy by not more than two families. <br />Dwelling unit, as used in article VI ofthis chapter, means one room, or rooms, located in <br />a dwelling which are connected together constituting a separate, independent unit for <br />owner occupancy, rental or lease, physically separated from any other room or dwelling <br />unit which may be in the same structure, and containing independent cooking, sleeping <br />and sanitary facilities, but not including hotels, motels, boardinghouses or rooming <br />houses, tourist homes, mobile homes, travel trailers or tents. <br />Dwelling unit, as used in article VI, divisions 12 and 13, of this chapter, means any <br />structure or portion of a structure, or other shelter, designed as short-term or long-term <br />living quarters for one or more persons, including rental or timeshare accommodations <br />such as motels, hotels, rooms and cabins. <br />Easement means a grant by an owner of land for a specific use by the public, quasipublic <br />or persons other than the owner. <br />Easement, utility or drainage, means a limited ownership interest in land enabling the <br />construction and maintenance of public services and utilities thereon, including, but not <br />limited to, sanitary sewers, water mains, electrical lines, telephone lines, storm sewer or <br />storm drainage facilities and gas lines. <br />Electrical sign means a sign or sign structure in which electrical wiring, connections, or <br />fixtures are used. <br />Eligible land means all land within the boundaries of a tract, except for land in existing <br />public road rights-of-way; or any area occupied by rivers, streams or lakes; or any area <br /> <br />7 <br />
