The parade will
involve people from the community, banners and two flatbed trucks with
speakers playing songs and proclamations.

The tentative parade route will begin at the east end of Lions Park by the
basketball hoops. The parade will then follow Jackson Avenue to Main
Street; Main Street to Orono Road and Orono Road to City Hall. The Pastor
has requested that the event end at the City Hall parking lot. The conclusion
will consist of all participants praying for local, state, county and national
government for 15 to 30 minutes.

Pastor Stahl has been asked to contact the Police Chief prior to the parade so
that arrangements for the safety of the participants in regard to traffic can be
made.

Pastor Tom Stahl indicated that this event has taken place in other
communities. Duluth was one community he mentioned with about 2,000
participants.

CONCLUSION

e

The purpose of this memo is to inform the Council of this event. No action is
required unless the Council deems it necessary.

s: \council\jesus.doc \st

P.O.
