<br />3rd Quarter 2006 Report <br /> <br />. Christian Farms Addition (simple plat) <br />. Elk River TBS Addition (simple plat) <br /> <br />- Staff has completed an updated residential lot inventory dated October 2006. .~ <br /> <br />. North of Highway 10 Redevelopment <br />- North of Highway 10 - The Housing and Redevelopment Authority has agreed that the <br />North of Highway 10 Project should be modified, and instead, a full "downtown" <br />redevelopment plan should be pursued. In order to do this, they are proposing a task <br />force be developed, comprised of the HRA members, residents, business people, <br />representatives of various councils. This item will be presented to the City Council at <br />their October 9,2006 meeting. <br /> <br />. Downtown Revitalization Project <br />- Staff has initiated a weekly information memo to the City Council that is sent out every <br />Friday. Staff also initiated contractor meetings which are held every Wednesday. Staff is <br />of the opinion that these aforementioned meetings have helped to establish stronger <br />City/contractor relationships and that the number of conflicts downtown has been <br />minimal. <br />Road closures - The City Council recently approved a Main Street closure from October <br />2nd to October 23rd, and then a J ackson Avenue reconfiguration from October 30th until <br />November 28th. <br />Rivers Edge Commons Park - Work began on this project on September 2? and the <br />contractors are part of the downtown contractors' meeting. <br />Staff is looking at how to construct a micro-loan for operational needs (per Council <br />direction). This will be submitted to the Council in November. <br /> <br />. Holzem Project/East of County Highway 40 Properties <br />_ Staff has submitted to the developers a series of changes that are being requested in <br />their approval to ensure a high quality development. Developer has submitted a plat <br />entitled "Preserve Ponds" for what is known as the Turner property. The 40-acre <br />Turner property plat will be reviewed in November by the Planning Commission and <br />City Council. <br /> <br />. 169/County Road 33 Redevelopment <br />- Anticipate starting this project in 2007, upon completion of the Land Use/Financial <br />Marketing Evaluation Study. <br /> <br />. Special Projects/Programs <br />- Land Use/Financial Marketing Valuation Study is being done primarily through the <br />Planning Department with assistance by Finance and other related entities. This work is <br />approximately 40 percent done and is time-consuming due to its complexity. <br /> <br />Page 2 <br />
