e

status of the projects and the priority of the projects so that Council direction
can be given to staff on work assignments.

3.3. & 3.4. - See above comment for 3.2.

3.5. - Staff anticipates having some information available on the 1/1/94
balance of our CIP finances. The most important area for the City Council to
review is the status of funds that are available for street improvement
projects. Clearly, the City does not have enough money to do everything it
desires and the Council will have to closely evaluate which projects move
forward in 1994 and 1995. Additionally, staff is very concerned about our
storm sewer fund which is operating in the red and which has many projects
proposed for the next few years. This issue may be addressed in the
discussion of 3.1. E & F.

3.6. - We can only hope that we get this far on the agenda at this 2/21
meeting! !

e

In general, staff is continuing to work on the CIP assignments given to us by
the City Council throughout 1993. We should be able to update our CIP
"game plan" in only a few meetings in 1994. Unless direction is given by the
City Council on new projects to work on, the City Council can assume that
staff is continuing to plug away on the projects already discussed over the
past fifteen months.

.
