DEFINITIONS. <br />(a) Wherever the word "jurisdiction" is used in the Uniform Fire Code, it is <br /> <br /> <br />'0 <br /> <br />NOTE: The name of the state, county, city or town, or fire district should be <br />inserted. See Uniform Fire Code Section 9.112. <br />Where the chief responsible for the enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code is given <br />the title of "fire marshal," add the following definition: <br />Wherever the words "chief of the bureau of flTe prevention" are used they shall be <br />held to mean "fire marshal." <br />Sec.4. ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS OF DISTRICTS IN WHICH <br />STORAGE OF FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS <br />IN OUTSIDE ABOVEGROUND TANKS IS PROHIBITED. <br /> <br />The limits referred to in Sections 79.501 and 79.l00lofthe Uniform Fire Code <br />in which the storage of flammable or combustible liquids is restricted are hereby <br />established as follows: <br /> <br />v <br /> <br />'J <br /> <br />NOTE: These limits should include heavily populated and conges,ted commercial <br />areas. These limits should be detailed unless such limits are established by other <br />regulations. It may be desirable in some jurisdictions to establish limitations basedon <br />quantities or classes of liquids or both. <br />Sec. 5. ESTABLISHMENTS OF LIMITS IN WHICH STORAGE OF <br />LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES IS TO BE RESTRICTED. <br />The limits referred to in Sectipn 82.104 (b) of the Uniform Fire Code. in which <br />storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted, are hereby established as follows: <br /> <br />",-,,' <br /> <br />NOTE: These limits should include the heavily populated and the congested <br />commercial areas. These limits should be detailed unless such limits have been <br />established by other regulations. <br />Sec. 6. ESTABLISHMENTS OF LIMITS OF DISTRICTS IN WHICH <br />STORAGE OF EXPLOSIVES AND BLASTING AGENTS IS TO <br />BE PROmBITED~ <br /> <br />The limits referred to in Section 77.107 of the Uniform Fire Code, in which <br />storage of explosives and blasting agents is prohibited, are hereby established as <br />follows: <br /> <br />\-.V <br /> <br />NOTE: These limits should include the principal business district, closely built <br />commercial areas and heavily populated areas. These limits should be detailed unless <br />such limits have been established by other regulations. <br />Sec. 7. AMENDMENTS MADE IN THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE. <br />The Uniform Fire Code is amended and changed in the following respects: <br />Section , paragraphs and <br />are amended as follows: <br />NOTE: Amendments deemed necessary should be inserted. Sections in the code <br />dealing with subjects covered adequately by existing local or state laws may be cited <br />as deleted. <br />Sec. 8. APPEALS. <br />Whenever the chief disapproves an application or refuses to grant a pentlit <br />applied for, or when it is claimed that the provisions of the code do not apply or that <br />the true intent and meaning of the code have been misconstrued or wrongly <br /> <br />xxix <br /> <br />~' <br /> <br />.' . <br />
