As shown on the <br />preliminary plan, an additional 39 parking spots are <br />available. <br />B. .I.iI.!l: The lluildinq is approximately 180' x 260' with 2,500 <br />seat. capacity and a maximum size Olympic ice sheet of 100' <br />x 200'. The present .arena is approximately 110' x 220' with <br />an ice sheet of 85' x 189'. <br />c. v.I.: primary use is for ice hockey, with addit.ional use <br />available for' other ice skatinq functions such as fiqure and <br />public skatinq; also indoor soccer, tennis, volleyball, <br />walking, and in-line skatinq. <br />D. ~a~ria: Although the new facility is larger~ it.s principal <br />use will be during- the "off peak" hours of the t.ypical <br />school day; nights and weekends. parking volumes should be <br />smaller than varsity football qames. <br /> <br />e XV. I'I~CI.G <br /> <br />The task force is pursuing- a Gross Revenue Recreational Facility <br />Bond issue through the city's EDA at a current estimated cost of <br />$3 million. payment of the bonds will be made from revenues <br />re.ceivecl {.rom the facilities' user fees. Such fees would include <br />ice time rental, concession revenues, advertising, etc. Also, <br />the present arena's bond debt will be paid in full by October <br />1995; at which time the revenues from this facility can..be...used <br />to assist in the debt payment of the new revenue bond. <br /> <br />A meeting with city officials is scheduled for Friday, January 7, <br />1994. Further information regarding- bonding requirements# EDA <br />responsibilities, city obliqations and manaqement issues, will be <br />provided at the school board meetinq. <br /> <br />e <br />
