Water Main Lateral Benefits <br />The benefit resulting to a property abutting or utilizing a water main where a <br />direct connection to that watermain via a building service is reasonably possible <br />without additional lateral pipes. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Lateral benefit may be provided by connection to trunk, sub trunk or lateral pipes. <br />The calculation of lateral benefit from a trunk or subtrunk pipe will be based on <br />the cost of an 8 inch pipe along the same alignment for commercial or industrial <br />zoned property and a 6 inch pipe for all other areas. <br />2. Infrastructure Rehabilitation Projects <br />Any project or portion of a project which reconstructs an existing water system <br />facility. A rehabilitation project may occur on the existing alignment of the water <br />HHe alii or on a new alignment thus, allowing the existing line to be abandoned <br />or its status downgraded (Le., trunk or subtrunk to lateral). <br />3. Water Connection Charge (WCC) <br />This is a charge billed to all properties at the time of connection to the water <br />system. The charge is the individual property share of the cost of the tFt:ffilE.; <br />source, ftftd-storage, mtq~.tfli~ilfacilities which make water service available. <br />The charge is based on thc sizc of thc COflfiCCtiOR plus the material and installation <br />cost of a '.vater meter.
