<br />City Councili\rfinutes <br />J nne 19, 2006 <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Mayor I<linzing stated she supports remo\rmg property owners in North Meado\\Ts (214th <br />.L~venue) from the improvement project. She stated she is in fa\'or of widening 213th _Avenue. <br /> <br />lvf.r. Maurer stated the road can be widened \\~thin the city right-of-way but there may be <br />some changes needed to the ditches for drainage. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gumphrey questioned if the horse trail on 213th Avenue could become a <br />pedestrian trail in the future. <br /> <br />lvf.r. Maurer said yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Farber informed the property o'\\TIlers on 214th ilvenue that their road does <br />need to be improved and that the Council may take it out of the 2006 Overlay project but it <br />may be included in another project in a few years and could cost more money. <br /> <br />Mayor I<linzing explained the appeal process to property owners. She stated if they had any <br />objections to the assessment they must turn in their written appeal to the Council by the end <br />of tonight's meeting. She further noted that the Council received an email from Jim <br />Spitzenberger opposing the overlay improvement. <br /> <br />.1.\. THAT THE NORTH MEADOWS SUBDIVISION BE REMOVED FROM <br />THE 2006 BITUMINOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br /> <br />2. STAFF INVESTIGATE THE POSSIBILTY OF INSTALLING A TRAIL <br />ALONG 213TH AVENUE. <br /> <br />3. STAFF REVIEW DRAINAGE AND SAFETY ISSUES IN RIDGEWOOD. <br /> <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0 <br /> <br />B.
