The total
outstanding balance from these accounts is $44,428. Each
person who was sent a delinquent notice has until September 1,
1993, to payoff the entire balance. In 1992, the City sent a
total of 195 delinquent letters which had an outstanding
balance of $38,797.77. The City assessed a total of 97
properties for $25,546 in 1992. This years totals appear to be
similar to last years. The City of Elk River bills
approximately 3,100 households for garbage service. Roughly 7%
of those households allow their garbage bills to go over the
$100 figure. After the September 1, 1993 deadline, I will
prepare a list of delinquent accounts for Council review before
these figures are turned over to the County for assessment.

e

P.O.
