<br />r!-\j <br />( )j <br />ftil <br /> <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />PAT KLAERS, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />DATE: JULY 1, 1993 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 7/6/93 SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br /> <br />As discussed by the City Council on 6/21/93, we had hoped to <br />not have a City Council meeting the 4th of July week due to a <br />variety of reasons, including the fact that the Mayor is out of <br />town. Unfortunately, this schedule did not work out. <br /> <br />On 6/21/93 the Council stated its desire to discuss personnel <br />priorities after the 7/12/93 EDA meeting. Since the EDA <br />meeting is anticipated to be about two hours in length I felt <br />it was appropriate to have a brief special meeting on 7/6/93 to <br />take care of some Council business items. This should leave <br />the 7/12/93 agenda after the EDA meeting more open for the <br />Council discussion on staffing priorities. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Additionally, it is good to have the public improvement bids <br />considered as soon as possible in order to have the <br />improvements installed prior to the September Parade of Homes <br />event. Delaying the bid awards until the 7/12/93 meeting would <br />make the time frame even tighter than what it is if the bids <br />are awarded on 7/6/93. <br /> <br />Therefore, for a number of reasons, this special meeting has <br />been called. I hope that the meeting will be brief. The <br />Council should note that the special meeting was called for the <br />specific items listed on the agenda and that no additional <br />business items can be added. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />P.O.
