.

.

.

::; .~~ ~~ ~ \'1 t \) ~PR - 2 \99i

March 31, 1993

Elk River City Hall
720 Dodge Avenue NW
Elk River, Minnesota 55330

To Whom It May Concern,

I contacted my council represenative (
ago and have not heard'back from I called.
the new shopping center developement.

over a month
in regards to

I am in favor of the shopping center for many reasons.

We need it for the tax base.

We need it for the citizens of Elk River, for shopping convience,
and it will be cheaper prices for citizens. Also they won't have
to go out of town for the cheaper prices.

The shopping center should attract business from the surrounding
communities. currently I go to Coon Rapids Cub Foods and do my
grocery shopping there, along with other Elk River citizens.

I feel just because our council members are not in favor of the
shopping center that it means a block in the progress. The council
memebers are suppose to be representing the citizens of Elk River
and what the citizens want and not what the city council members
want.

Sincerely,
!

A Concerned Elk River citizen
