Joan .i\Jlen froIn GRRL, l\fic from St. Cloud, Bill l:vlaertz and <br />Chris Leeseberg froln the City;, 1-'1oharmned, ] ennifer, Cara and Lara fro In I<I<E \vere present as <br />guests. <br /> <br />..:\ quorun1 ,vas established. <br /> <br />Jennifer updated us on the site plan. i\ staff/receiving entry \vas added. The pricing package is <br />going out on 5/25. ~"\t the June ll1eeting \ve \vill receive pricing updates. <br /> <br />Cara sho\ved us an ltnage Board. .!~ fe\v of the dungs that are considered: <br />- Nature (blurring the line benveen in and outdoors) <br />-Technology <br />-Outdoors <br />-Science <br /> <br />Then sa\v exalnples of Natural, Ivlodern and Confluent (colnbining natural and modern) boards that <br />had fabric, t1ooring, paint, and etc. satnples. The consensus \vas approval of the Natural scheIne. <br /> <br />Three High School students \vere at the meeting, observing for a Goverrunent class. So \ve asked <br />then1 about d1e Teen ~\rea. Here are their COtlli11ents: <br />- Beanbag chairs <br />-Comfortable chairs <br />-SOlne chairs that have a platforlTI to hold a laptop. <br />-Big enough table/ desk area to spread out papers, books, etc. <br />-I(J(E tnentioned that Ivlusic playing and vending in the Teen ..c'1.rea are in some Libraries. <br /> <br />Children's ..:\rea: <br />-.1\ vibrant & active area \vith it's color and texture <br />-Using InotiEs fro111 nature to ti~ the area into the "natural" scheme. Trees to sunulate a river cut into <br />dle flooring and possible a cave to cra\vl into and read. <br /> <br />j\t dle June lneeting \ve \vill be presented \\;Jth another board and ,vill need to s tart making decisions <br />as far as location of Inaterials and detailing out tlle Children's and Teen ..c\rea. <br /> <br />Coffee Shop \vill be independent as far as decorating, depends on our agreen1ent ,vith them. <br /> <br />No 2nd Thursday Ineeting in June. On June 19th dlere is a City Council ll1eeting that some Inelnbers <br />of the board need to attend. Please elnail T\lick if you can lnake it. <br /> <br />lvleeting \vas adjourned at 7:40pm. <br />
