Supervise enforcement of the City's zoning, <br />subdivision, sign ordinance, and building code. Serve as staff <br />liaison to the City's Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Duties/Responsibilities <br /> <br />1.) Code Enforcement -- Manage the implementation and <br />enforcement of the City building code, zoning ordinance, <br />subdivision ordinance, sign ordinance, and development <br />agreements. <br /> <br />2.) Planninq -- Coordinate activities for the Planning <br />Co~~ission, schedule Planning Commission meetings, <br />determine order of business, and assemble agenda. Receive <br />and respond to correspondence for the commission. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />3.) Plan Review -- Review development plans and requests, <br />coordinate plan review meetings, analyze site plans for <br />compliance, perform design review for building plans, check <br />completed projects for compliance with approvals. Analyze <br />and review rezoning, variance, conditional use, special use <br />and subdivision requests to formulate recommendations. <br /> <br />4.) Public Relations -- Disseminate planning information to the. <br />public by responding to questions from developers, <br />citizens, civil groups, and neighborhood groups regarding <br />specific and overall City development plans. <br /> <br />5.) Supervisor -- Manage and evaluate the job performance of <br />building and zoning employees, coordinate and assign <br />related work load. Assist in the selection of new <br />employees. Supervisors will be responsible for providing <br />written and oral employee evaluations of employees in their <br />department. <br /> <br />6.) Environmental Coordinate and respond to the City's <br />environmental issues, including municipal solid waste and <br />recycling management. <br /> <br />7.)
