Economic Development Authority Minutes
January 11. 1999

Page 2

e

4.

Open Mike

Kathy Swanberg, P.O. Box 130, Becker, MN, indicated her concern about the
issues regarding the Earl Hohlen property located at 169 and Main Street. She
stated that the 68 acres referred to in the 10/12/98 EDA minutes is actually 63
acres, and that a portion of this acreage belongs to her. Ms. Swanberg stated
that she is uncertain whether or not the two parcels in the eminent domain
process include her parcells) or her father's. She further stated her concern
regarding the statement on record as to the property owners' unwillingness to sell
to Associated Developers, and/or the possibility of holding out for an
unreasonable price.

Commissioner Dwyer indicated that the only time ownership of land is clear to the
EDA is when the Authority is purchasing the property. He stated that since the
EDA is not purchasing her land, it is unknown to them who the owner is, and the
issue may be one better taken up with the deyeloper.

5.
