COMMISSIONER GONGOLL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-1. Commissioner Holmgren opposed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bender indicated that he would like the issue to come back to <br />the Economic Development Authority following the city's appraisal of the <br />properties involved in the eminent domain process. <br /> <br />4. Other Business <br /> <br />Craig Howse, attorney for the Brown property, addressed the EDA regarding the <br />possibility of the EDA purchasing the Brown property. Attorney Craig Howse <br />addressed the relocation costs and the issue of access to the portion of the <br />property the Brown's will retain. He questioned whether the EDA feels they are <br />proceeding in the right direction regarding the purchase of the property. He <br />indicated that the Browns want to be certain that the EDA is still interested in <br />owning a business park property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dwyer indicated that he is interested in purchasing the property if <br />there is a fair market value as determined by an appraiser. Commissioners <br />Bender and Thompson also indicated that they are in consensus with purchasing <br />the property. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COMMISSIONER DWYER MOVED TO ADJOURN THE <br />MEETING. COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />The special meeting of the Elk River Economic Development Authority was <br />adjourned at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />
