Chair Dwyer felt the EDA should not be identified as an exclusive representative for marketing and sale of the properties. After discussion, members of the Commission were in agreement David Sellergren has the background and experience to assist the EDA in negotiations for the business park. COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO ENLIST THE SERVICES OF MR. DAVID SELLERGREN IN THE WEST HIGHWAY 10 BUSINESS PARK NEGOTIATIONS AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $3,780.00, AND A REQUEST BE MADE TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR FUNDING OF THESE SERVICES THROUGH THE CITY COUNCIL CONTINGENCY; AND FURTHER, THAT NEGOTIATIONS WITH COUNTRY RIDGE PARTNERSHIP BE GIVEN FIRST PRIORITY AND SECONDLY, THE GAGNE AND WILSON PROPERTY. COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. Commissioner Holmgren expressed concern the frontage road project be pushed forward as quickly as possible, due to safety issues at the county courthouse access on Highway 10. 6. Business Incubator e Paul indicated Solar Attic possibly entered into a distributorship agreement with a contractor down south. Solar Attic has expressed their satisfaction with their space at the Business Incubator site. Paul noted an open house will be held after MAS Technologies is moved into the building. Paul updated the Commission on other prospects for the Business Incubator. 7. Web Site - Economic Development Paul indicated the City's web site is still a work in progress, but should soon be available to access. Commissioner Gongoll suggested pictures from the city's video could be used in the web site. 8. Discuss Costs of Updatina Video and Marketing Materials Chair Dwyer expressed support for updating the marketing video every year. COMMISSIONER BENDER MOVED TO APPROVE THE EXPENDITURE OF $2,330 TO UPDATE THE CITY'S MARKETING VIDEO. COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. As in the past, staff will request Chamber participation in the cost of reprinting the city's color brochures. 9. Strateaic Plan Implementation Items The City Council has initiated rezoning the Wilson property near the business park and the Hohlen property in the southwest corner of East Main Street and Highway 169. e The HRA will be starting implementation of various strategic planning initiatives including identifying and establishing criteria for redevelopment areas in the Central Business District.
