We have lived on these 2.5 acres for 13 years and
have owned the property for 14 years. We have planted trees every year, hundreds of trees and
bushes to create a private haven for us and our children. We succeeded. We are unable to see our
neighbors in the summer when the trees are leafed out and with construction of a barn-size
garage we have blocked the view of the high wires/power lines that run close to our property. We
had intended to stay here for the rest of our lives and with the help of Marcia's father and our son
we constructed a garden shed, a chicken coop, rose arbors, brick patios and a walkway made
from pavers. We have plum trees, apple trees, pear trees, and many other varieties. Each year we
have added more and more. We love our haven that we have created.

We understand that the corridor will go through. We have seen drawings outlining the plan of
construction creating a road that will run between our property and the high wires, most likely
taking away the trees and the garage that stand in the way and lowering the hill.

We feel that this road will greatly affect the value of our property and greatly impact the front of
our house and its view. We feel that it would be unreasonable for you to expect us to stay here
considering that you will be taking away Randy's workshop and all the trees and a good amount
of our property.

We propose that you buy us out. We did not choose this to happen and are very sad about our
property's future. But we also know we have to face the reality that our property will no longer
be the same. It will affect it to such a degree that we feel we no longer wish to live here. It would
not be in our best interest to do so.

Please consider our proposal.

Sincerely,

Marcia and Randy Moen
19227 Tyler Street NW
Elk River
