<br />PRESIDENT GONGOLL MOVED TO APPOINT BILL RUBIN AS EDA EXECUTIVE <br />DIRECTOR. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6. Financial Update <br /> <br />Lori Johnson provide the following financial summary: <br /> <br />The Micro Loan Fund cash balance as of February 28, 1994 is $121,065.21. As of <br />March 10, 1994, all March loan payments are current with the exception of <br />PureSteam. Two loans totaling $40,000 have been approved, but have not <br />closed. <br /> <br />7. Consider Committee Recommendation To Select A Company To Undertake A <br />Financial Feasibility Study Reqardinq The Proposed Construction Of A Second <br />Ice Arena <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DWYER MOVED TO HIRE THE MARQUETTE PARTNERS FIRM TO <br />COMPLETE A FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR A PROPOSED SECOND ICE ARENA, <br />AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $15,000. PRESIDENT GONGOLL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />8. Consider Discussion Items From Workshop Session On EDA Main Street Site <br /> <br />Bill Rubin, President Gongoll and Commission Dwyer provided information on the <br />EDA Main Street Site discussion. <br /> <br />10. Consider 1992 Retail Sales Information For Elk River <br /> <br />Bill Rubin reviewed his memo to the EDA regarding the 1992 retail sales estimate <br />for Elk River. <br /> <br />11 . Prospect Status Report <br /> <br />This information was provided under separate cover. <br /> <br />12. Other Business <br /> <br />Bill Rubin noted that he has been informed that Sherburne County will remain in <br />the Twin Cities Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). <br /> <br />Bill Rubin informed the EDA that he and Commissioner Dwyer met with Jay <br />Johnson and Tony Emmerich to discuss the business park, and that the <br />developers have expressed their willingness to work with the EDA. - <br /> <br />13.
