<br />Elk River EDA Meeting <br />January 10, 1994 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />The Commissioners commended Bill Rubin and the Chamber of Commerce for <br />its efforts in drafting a more individualized community Profile for Elk <br />River. <br /> <br />12. Prospect Status Report <br /> <br />Bill Rubin discussed the prospect status report which was sent under <br /> <br />separate cover. <br /> <br />13. Other Business <br /> <br />13 .A. <br /> <br />Video Update <br /> <br />Bill Rubin updated the EDA on the progress of the City Video. <br />He indicated that it should be in final form within two to <br />three weeks. <br /> <br />13.B. <br /> <br />Update on Certified Development Company <br /> <br />Bill Rubin stated he had requested that the Small Business <br />Administration allow Twin Cities-Metro Certified Development <br />Company to expand its service territory to include the City <br />limits of Elk River. This request was denied and Bill Rubin <br />suggested that the basis for this denial was due to the SBA's <br />prescribed procedures not being followed. The SBA letter <br />further indicated that Minnesota Business Finance, Inc., is the <br />only development company operating in Sherburne County. The <br />concerns with Minnesota Business Finance is its lack of loan <br />packaging abilities and its lack of direct contact with banks <br />and business applicants. <br /> <br />D.C. <br /> <br />Request to Call Special Meeting for January 18, at 5:45 P.M. <br /> <br />Bill Rubin requested the EDA <br />January 18 as he is anticipating a <br />loan. <br /> <br />to call a special meeting for <br />loan request for a micro <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO CALL A <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 18, 1994, AT 5:45 P.M. <br />REQUEST FOR A MICRO LOAN. COMMISSIONER <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING ON <br />TO CONSIDER A LOAN <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br /> <br />14. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADJOURN <br />THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION.
