Elk River EDA Annual Meeting January 9, 1995 Page 4 COMMISSIONER DUITSMAN MOVED TO APPROVE AN ADDENDUM TO THE CONTRACT FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE EDA AND TESCOM CORPORATION. COMMISSIONER DWYER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 8. Update on Business Park Issues The Executive Director updated the EDA on the development progress of the Business Park. He indicated that the City Planner is in receipt of three applications for the Business Park which will be considered by the Planning Commission at its meeting in January. The Executive Director stated that in order for the City to be competitive, some decisions must be made on the level of incentives and financing which the City is willing to offer to light manufacturing companies. Commissioner Dwyer suggested that a workshop be held to discuss this issue. 9. 1995 Work Proqram President Gongoll indicated that the Executive Director has provided potential topics for future EDA workshops. President Gongoll suggested that the workshops be held on a quarterly basis as a minimum, or on an as-needed basis. He further suggested that topics such as riverfront development and downtown redevelopment be added to the list. COMMISSIONER DWYER MOVED THAT WORKSHOPS TO DISCUSS EDA TOPICS BE HELD, AS A MINIMUM, ON A QUARTERLY BASIS. COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 10. Chanqe February/March Meetinq Dates COMMISSIONER SCHEEL MOVED TO CHANGE THE TIMES OF THE FEBRUARY 13 AND MARCH 13 MEETINGS TO 5:00 P.M. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. COMMISSIONER DWYER MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EDA ON JANUARY 30, 1995, AT 5:30 P.M., TO HOLD AN EDA WORKSHOP. COMMISSIONER DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7 -0. 11 . Other Business Commissioner Dietz suggested that the Executive Director use a consent agenda for noncontroversial items. 11.1. Update on Review and Permitting Task Force The Executive Director updated the EDA on the progress of the review and permitting process.
