<br />EDC Minutes <br />June 12, 1986 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />By-Laws <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, noted he found no official by-laws for the <br />EDC. It was the consensus of the EDC members present that the City <br />Administrator work on composing by-laws for the Elk River Economic <br />Development Commission. <br /> <br />The City Administrator noted that the City has applied for a <br />Assistance Grant which would make funds available to the City <br />in developing a marketing strategy. He indicated the City of <br />has been awarded the grant. <br /> <br />Technical <br />to assist <br />Elk River <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that some people from the State would be <br />working with the EDC Marketing Committee to help the City develop an <br />overall marketing plan. The Administrator further noted that Jon Glennie, <br />City Intern would be working on this grant. <br /> <br />Elaine Anderson explained a promotional marketing idea she had been <br />working on to promote new businesses into the Elk River area. <br /> <br />It was the consensus that the next full committee EDC meeting would be <br />held on July 16, 1986, 7:00 at the First National Bank. <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />.J~ <br /> <br />Sandy Thackeray <br />Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />
