Kuester was present for his request for a side yard variance to attach <br />a garage to their house. This property is located at Jackson and 169. He <br />intends to attach a garage to the house, and the north1.rest corner \.rould be <br />between 7 feet and 8 feet from the line, and because of the property line, <br />the NE corner would be 17 feet. He said there is a row of pine trees on his <br />property that would act as a buffer, and the house to the north is for sale <br />and not occupied at present. Charles Christian, Final Hearing Davis Woods Addition <br /> <br />Jim Klein, a representative for Charles Christian, presented the final plat <br />on the addition. ~IT. Adolphson stated the old Co~mission reviewed the <br />preliminary plat. The streets remain the same as discussed before, and the <br />staff savT no problems with the streets. Cow~issioner Hinkle asked about the <br />connection of Pasqual Street with Rabbit Hills. This had been changed to <br />Queen and 1-Tould end in a "T". The COIr1J11ission felt there should be some <br />provision made for a connection between Davis Woods and Robbit Hills so <br />they are not landlocked. ~tr. Klein felt this should be included in the <br />developer's agreement. GarY,Santwire, Preliminary Hearing for P.U.D. <br /> <br />Gary Santwire and Zack Johnson were present for this discussion. Zack Johnson <br />presented t1'TO dra1"ings \.ri th some changes made a.t the City Council meeting. <br />He said there \'Tould be no through street. connecting to Fa1.m Drive., The <br />Cow.mission asked about maintenance of this '\olithout a thru street., r1r. Johnson <br />said the problems created for maintenance would be offset by the avoidance <br />of extra traffic on Fa1fn Drive. The grade of the road was discussed, and <br />~tr. Johnson felt it might be a good time for this to be corrected. The <br />nQmber of d'\oTelling units was changed to 134. There would also be a larger <br />general retail area of about three acres in the commercial section. The <br />service road along 169 would be consistent with the zoning ordinances. <br />tIT. Adolphson said he could see problems with the present plan for the road, <br />so far as snow removal and drainage, as the ditch was not adequate for this. <br />~tr.
