The Council concurred.

Ms. Johnson provided an update on Planning Manager and Finance Director positions. She
indicated that interviews were held for both positions but that staff would like to continue to
advertise for these positions.

Ms. Johnson indicated that she received the final tax rate from the city and was projected to
be the same as last year but the Net Tax Capacity (NTC) came in lower than the County's
original estimate so the tax rate increased slightly. Ms. Johnson indicated that according to
the County, the change in NTC was prompted by a new law regarding apartment building
values which caused the city's NTC value to decrease by $77,000. She has asked the County
to notify the city if significant changes in the NTC could occur after the County estimated
value is provided in September.

8.
